Building a Coordinated Lounge Wardrobe

KANAN Editorial · 16 September 2026

Begin with what you already wear

A considered lounge wardrobe does not have to be a matching set. Choose one piece that fills a useful role: trousers for cooler mornings, shorts for warmer days, or a slip for an easy single garment. Then look at the tops and layers already in your wardrobe before adding more.

Keep the colour conversation simple

Misty Rose, silver and familiar neutrals offer several ways to combine separates. Try a pale pink trouser with a plain cream top, or silver shorts with a charcoal T-shirt. Repeating one colour in a layer can make the outfit feel connected without requiring an exact match. Compare the pieces in the same light when possible.

Choose the fabric deliberately

KANAN’s Misty Rose pyjama shorts offer three fabric options: cotton Pima Lawn, pure silk satin and Silhouette Organic Cotton Sateen. The selected option matters. Images of a silk variant should not be taken as an exact preview of how a cotton variant will drape or reflect light. Check the composition in the selector before adding to your bag.

Compare each size chart

Do not assume that every garment will fit the same way because its size label is familiar. Read the measurements for each style and consider the room you prefer at the waist, hip and leg. For kaftans, compare regular and petite lengths as well as the waist-tie options. Editorial styling is inspiration rather than a fit guarantee.

Build slowly

Wear the first piece with several existing tops before deciding what comes next. You may find that one trouser and one short cover your needs better than a large set. Follow each garment’s care label; different fabric options can require different handling.
